  10. I. General Information
  11.    A. Area tag: GAMING

  14.    D. Official Language: American English; please translate as best you can

  16. II. Moderation
  17.     A. Moderator
  18.        1. Will be appointed by election and will moderate until such time
  19.           as he resigns or is removed from office by the *C structure.
  20.        2. May appoint a CoModerator
  21.        3. Makes final decisions within the jurisdiction of the echo
  22.        4. The current moderator is Clint Adams of Schizophrenia (Fidonet#1:2607/401.0)

  24.        1. Appointed by Moderator
  25.        2. In case of Moderator's absence, will be Acting Moderator and may appoint Acting CoModerator
  26.        3. The current comoderator is Jim Ray of File Quest (Fidonet#1:388/14.0)

  28. III. Gating to Other Nets
  29.      A. If you wish to gate the echo to another net, please contact the Moderator
  30.      B. Information must be provided on how to NetMail any offending parties or contact the GateOp
  31.  
  32. IV. Rules with suggested punishments for first time offenders
  33.    A. Very minor infractions - removal for 7 days - cleared after 14 days
  34.       1. Quoting tag, tear, and origin lines unless they pertain to the subject
  35.    B. Minor infractions - removal for 30 days - cleared after 30 days
  36.       1. High-bit characters (any character greater than hex 7F)
  37.       2. Profanity
  38.    C. Topic violations - removal for 60 days - cleared after 60 days
  39.       1. Discussion of video games & their systems (use VID_GAME,etc.)
  40.       2. Discussion of sound cards (use ADLIB, SB, etc.)
  41.       3. Advertisements of any kind without prior Moderatorial permission
  42.       4. Discussion of anything not pertaining to personal computer gaming
  43.    D. Major infractions - removal for 90 days - cleared after 120 days
  44.       1. Releasing copyrighted information into the echo
  45.       2. Ad-hominem attacks/flames
  46.       3. Appointing self the echo-police and attempting to moderate within the echo
  47.    E. Please note that the moderator(s) may use any punishment for any
  48.       offense at his/her own discretion and is not bound by this section.
